All Companies/Years Backup to the Data Warehouse

To create a backup that backs up all companies for all years in one backup
Step 1: All Companies/Years
- Click on File
- Backup Data
- All Companies/Years menu option
Step 2: Backup Data
- Select the required Backup drive and folder by clicking Browse
- The Date/time stamp default filenames box is automatically ticked. This automatically adds date and time to the backup file name. e.g. CBDatabase.2014-12-16 15.25.25.zip.
- If wanting to Backup to Practical Systems Data Warehouse, tick the box next to Send this file to the Practical Systems Data Warehouse on completion
- Click OK
- Click Yes to Confirm proceeding with backing up all companies and all years to selected backup drive and/or folder
- Click Yes to Confirm verification
- Click OK when verification is successful
Step 3: Data Warehouse
If backing up to the Data Warehouse as well, click OK to login to the data warehouse server
i. In the PS Login window enter Client Code and Password
ii. Click OK
We advise not to Password Protect the Backup, as Practical Systems cannot retrieve the data if password is forgotten
iii. Click Next
iv. Enter a description of the backup eg. Backup November 2014
v. Click OK
