Summary
Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 (STP2) is the second iteration of the Australian Tax Office's system for reporting payroll payments to employees. Major changes have been made to Cashbook to accommodate an employer's reporting requirements and assist Practical Systems client's with meeting their obligations.
Major Changes
Single Touch Payroll Phase 2: As noted, the most significant changes to Cashbook Platinum centre around STP2 and its detailed reporting system.
These changes include:
- STP Phase 2 integration with SuperChoice and the ATO.
- STP categorisation for Pay Rates, Allowances and Deductions.
- STP Tax Treatment Code added to Tax Scales.
- Cessation Type for terminated employees.
- STP Income Type categorisation for employees and their pays.
- Revamped STP Summary screen for easier review of detailed submissions.
- Changes to Employee Status option.
- Event History with backwards compatibility for STP1 submissions.
Minor Changes
- Fixed blank account lines appearing in Budget vs Actual Cashflow report.
- Fixed doubling up of account lines in Comparative Cashflow report.
- Fixed & improved Account Code sorting in Advanced Budgets.
- Fixed error 100 caused by Original Creditor Invoices.
- Fixed incorrect date range filtering for Reportable Fringe Benefit Amounts in STP.

- Fixed incorrect company name on payslips.
- Fixed PAYGW from previous financial years included in STP submission.
- Fixed PAYGW from pays with no Wages/Salary amounts missed from STP submission.
