Missing Menu Options

If the Utilities, Help and Windows menu options are missing, it could be caused by one of the following:

  • the window is too narrow. Try dragging the right-hand side of the window to widen the window - hover mouse over the right-hand border until a drag symbol is visible
  • the computer font size is too large

If the window size is not the problem, try changing the computer font size
The procedure to do this may be different depending on what operating system is in use. If neither of the following procedures seems relevant to the computer in use, please look for specific details on the web for relevant operating system, or contact a computer technician or Practical Systems

Step 1: Change Font

  1. Right click on the Desktop
  2. Click Personalize
  3. Click Display
  4. Change the size of the text to the smallest option


OR

i.   Click Start
ii.  Click Control Panel
iii. Click Fonts
iv. Click Change font size
5. Change the size of the text to the smallest option
