Send a Backup via Email

Send the email manually

  1. Save a backup to a location you will be able to find
  2. Open your email program and create a new email
  3. Click on the 'Attach' button. This will vary from one email software to another, but is most usually shown as an icon with a paper clip
  4. Select the backup file created in step 1
  5. Enter a sender address and a message and send the email

Send the email from within Cashbook

  1. Take the steps as you would normally do in preparation for doing a backup. (i.e. File > Backup Data Files or File Multi-Company Backup menu option.)
  2. Ensure that you have the Email Backup box ticked before commencing the actual backup
Note: You cannot email a backup if you are backing up to Practical Systems Data Warehouse.
