update from a file (no internet connection)

Summary

How do I update Tax Scales from a file, as I do not have an internet connection?

Detailed Description

Tax Scales are to help you work out how much to withhold from payments you make to your employees.

Cashbook Plus! uses standard Australian Taxation Office formula to calculate tax installment deductions.

The Australian government usually announces changes to the tax rates around the start of each payroll year.

If you are connected to the internet, you will be automatically notified if your current tax scales are out of date and will be prompted to download the latest tax scales.

If you are not connected to the internet, you need to contact Practical Systems on 1800 624 688 and ask for the latest Tax Scales File (saved on a disk) to be posted to you.

When you receive the file:

  • Insert the disk into your computer's disk drive.
