Transaction Reference Numbers
Adding a transaction but Cashbook won't generate a new Reference Number
The Cashbook program is designed so reference numbering occurs sequentially, from the last transaction entered
For Example: If the last transaction was cheque number 00107, so the next one is automatically numbered 00108.
- If your next transaction entered has a different Reference eg. EFT, the next transaction entered after that will automatically default to EFT
- If you click on the Reference drop down arrow, the sequential cheque number is listed
If you enter a cheque number that already exists, Cashbook will notify you with a message similar to this, to avoid duplication:
